I don't understand all the concern over Bermuda. As far as I have always understood, it is a superior grass over Zoysia or St Augustines. Bermuda is what is used on the golf courses in the south. I think that most golf courses look better than most lawns here.
Up north, grasses like Zoysia and St Augustines are considered weeds or crabgrass.
If you go into Lowes or Home Depot you'll find mostly Bermuda overseeding products. I think that it's not used when homes are built because it is much more expensive than any other type of grass available down here.
