Thanks Bogie Shooter but this is the site that got my attention when you originally posted the video link. It says to raise the blades this time of year (which my mowing guys disputes) to promote deeper root growth in the winter months but when I dug further into their website to determine the normal recommended height from which to raise the blades it says the mowing height for zoysia is 1"-2" which would be disasterous for our lawns. So maybe I'll talk to the Extension Coop folks. Thanks for your help.
