WATCH YOUR SPEED ON 466A!

There is now a short stretch of road between Wildwood and The Villages, approximately 368 feet long, directly in front of the new County Seat building, which has recently been reduced from 45 mph to 20 mph. The sign says Speed Limit 20, with The Villages under it. It looks just like the ones that announce speed limits on our side streets within The Villages, without the “unless posted” part. Police have been seen giving out tickets with a cost of $256.00.
I don't recall seeing other speed signs in Sumter County with "The Villages" printed on the sign. Something strange here. Are we sure these were posted by the county?
