Hi there. I need to let you know that the surgeries were ALWAYS a last resort with one exception; the first one. That was as a result of an on the job injury and emergent.
Each time I had another surgery, i was unable to walk more than 50 feet, could not bend, stand, tie laces or use facilities without a strong arm to help me move. I also had a 10 year old at the time and a disabled husband. nightmare times.
I never entered into any operation half baked. My doc also worked hard to save me and the fact that i can walk upright a bit today is in full thanks to Dr. Leone in NY. An orthopod and a darn great one. He is the creator of one of the fusion rods and plates. he devised 'safer' ones and thats great.
he is NOT knife happy and is cinservative as can be. I needed the help. Not complaining; just facts here.
