Having a lifestyle change in eating habits where you eat several smaller meals a day and combined with exercise is a better way to go. Diets are doomed to failure as you will always start eating the things you miss.
I am a diabetic and didn't have to take pills because of these changes. You will find that by eating healthier, you lose the craving for processed and or junk foods.
