We also watch Scott Pelley after the ABC News with David Muir/Diane Sawyer is over.......he was a longtime reporter on 60 Minutes, wasn't he?
Good journalist.

Scott Pelley's half hour evening news is very much to our liking with "no frills" and straight to the point. Not fond of Diane Sawyer's format at all.

Our favorite of all time was Walter Conkrite and later Charlie Gibson.
Our moms and dad's watched Chet Huntley and David Brinkley.
Also, we still remember Dan Rather hanging on to that tree in the hurricane winds.

Now, the evening news has too many pharmaceutical advertisements as well as too much "changeable" health news and "special effects" lately for our eyes to take.
Yes, we have large screen high definition t.v. but a simpler format is more relaxing to view.
