Get your inspection no less than a few weeks before your year is up but not much before that because you want to be sure that anything that will come up in the year does come up while the inpsector is there if it has not been identified or resolved. It costs about $175 give or take and you get the report as well. Worth every penny and could save you thousands and thousands if there is significant work that needs addressing before the year is over. The inspector is trained to see every major and minute issue. Ours did.
