Ladies and gents, just a heads up if you are getting a pedicure in TV. On Saturday my husband an I went to get pedicures at Root 66 as it was close after having breakfast at Sonrise Cafe. ( hubby thinks it's great fun to get a pedicure because up north men don't get pedicures!!) so we each sat down for our relaxing hour of pampering. The pedicure was good except they didn't have any "toe separators" or dryers for the polish which is weird since they give manicures and pedicures. They talked my husband into buying this foot foam to help heal cracked heels (which I never would do). When we checked out they said the cost of 2 pedicures and the foam stuff was $119.00. I almost fell over. I asked them if they could break down the receipt so I could see what each costs. They said the pedicures were 47.00 each and the foam was 24.00. I swallowed hard and said thank you and walked out. How can they charge so much??? Granted it was my fault for not asking in advance how much the pedicures were but gosh. I felt taken advantage of. Any pedicure I've ever gotten was between 25.00 and 30.00. They will never get me again!!

They get that much because people are willing to pay it. If they weren't, they would be out of business. They can do ten pedicures at $47.00 and make the same amount of money as doing 19 at $25.00. Why would they want to do more work for the same amount of money? (Would you work for half of your salary?) Unless, of course, if people stopped going there. At that point, they might consider lowering their prices.
