Interestingly enough, my youngest son (who was born and raised in a place far, far away from Florida)...became a fan of FSU as a teenager during this period.
Having no other national college teams, much less professional teams, anywhere close...he rooted for FSU in every sport.
It was no surprise then, that after serving a tour in the Navy...he used the GI Bill to get his degree from FSU.
He even bought airline and game tickets to this years Orange Bowl....
before the 'Noles even qualified for it.
Now THAT'S loyalty.
