Perhaps you missed the point. If the family named him Tamerlan knowing the history of the original Tamerlan, then perhaps their intent was to groom him for the same war-like behavior. The name should at least send up a red flag to call for a through investigation. Especially due to the fact that he came from an area dominated by Muslims.

Anyway, I think the overall point of the column was perfectly sound. We need to be more cautious. Does anyone doubt that?
