Default Major Medical Insurance Transportability
Does anybody know what is planned for this fall? I had heard that some insurance companies are planning to roll out new plans this October.

As you may know if you by your own health insurance (pre Medicare) it is not transferable from one state to another even within the same company. The companies can and do refuse new customers for pre-existing conditions. One of the Obama changes is suppose to correct this but I haven't heard how or what the companies are required to do.

We bought in 2008 but couldn't move here full time because we had to maintain our Northern residency to keep our health insurance.

Any how anybody know anything new?
