I take it you have the push button igniter with the AA battery?? Do you hear it snapping (and do you see spark? course with the gas OFF and any fumes cleared) . If you don't hear the snapping it just may be dirty grounding out the spark or weak or dead battery? If not probably the igniter which can be replaced. Pretty easy to replace the igniter assy. you get kit at hardware store. unplug and Unclip igniter loosen the jam nut or screw the cap off (the button that you push. Reverse installation.
