Actually, I love being single. Although it hasn't been very long and I still find myself - for a split second - questioning if it's okay to do whatever it is I wanted to do, without first having to take 'his' wants into consideration, when it dawns on me that I don't have to worry about that any more I'm thrilled.

Maybe I'm the exception to the rule, but, this independence is invigorating to me. It could be that it changes over time, but, I can't imagine going back to always doing for my husband before myself. It's my turn and I think I deserve it.
