I had the original Nook and it was a very good ebook reader but not much else.
I upgraded to the Nook Tablet but ran into problems within a month of not being able to get it to power up properly. I exchanged it and had no problems until a few weeks after the one year warranty expired. The Tablet would operate randomly and kill the battery. I brought it back to B&N and they said so sorry but can't be fixed. They sold me a refurb at a big discount but that unit had power problems within a couple of weeks so I returned it.
Now I have a Nexus 7 and am very happy with it. It has Nook and Kindle apps and runs much better than the Nook.
