At times when I picked up a melon, my fingers would break thru the rind and into the melon. Really nasty I must say!!! This same thing happened a few weeks back, I complained to the manager who said he would talk to the produce person. It so happened that the following day I was back at the 441 WalMart and you guessed it, the same box, same rotten melons were still for sale. Folks, these cantaloupes were actually at the point of being garbage and should be below the standards of even WalMart.

Hellooooo! Is anyone surprised? We want cheap, and when we buy Walmart cheap, this is what we get.... Someone I know was once going to a wedding directly from a driving trip and realized she had forgotten to bring a pair of shoes. She told me she tried every shoe store in the area before breaking down and going to Walmart (kicking and screaming, I might add...). She found a plain pair of shoes that would work for SIX DOLLARS! Knowing that Walmart will get its "pound of flesh" in terms of its profits, how can anyone earn a living wage and feed himself or herself (and oossibly a family) on making (in this case) a pair of shoes that retails for $6. Geez Louise.... (As opposed to "Boy howdy!") What are we doing to ourselves?...
