July 6, the most important day in modern music history
On July 6, 1957 a young man in Liverpool, England invited his friend, Paul McCartney to see his mate's band, the Quarrymen perform two shows. In between the shows, Ivan took Paul backstage and introduced him to the Quarrymen's leader, John Lennon. Paul played and sang the song Twenty Flight Rock by Eddie Cochran. Two days later, John asked Paul to be in his band.
