We tried to buy garlic in the Farmers Market and there is only one vendor that sells it. The price is $2.00 each head. Outrageous! They said it was imported from Mexico and made it sound special.

We just bought 4 heads from Publix for $2.19 (2.99/lb) imported from Mexico.

The reason for the post is I was told by other vendors that they are not allowed to sell garlic due to an agreement that this vendor has with The Villages. This vendor is not selling product from Florida or even the USA and has priced it at an unreasonable price. They describe it in a way to make you think they imported themselves, which I doubt.
Did you know that TV doesn't manage the farmers market, it is managed by the same man that ran it when the set-up was in Wildwood.
They have rules. For example if you sign on you must be there for ever opening.
