I would think these fees are to help, offset the costs of taking care of the courses in general, like when they need to rake traps, (because some players refuse to do so) fix mushy tire tracks, (because someone has driven in wet areas, and has made a mess of the course), fix ball marks on greens, (so everyone can enjoy) fill in divots on tee box, (again, because a few refuse to do so) etc etc etc. Village residents are able to purchase an annual Trail fee for $141.24 (up to four in a household) or $105.93 for six months. So if you play 100 times a year, on executive courses, your trail fee would only be $1.41 per play. (that's really cheap in trail fee standards) I don't think there is another place in this country, where you can play nine holes of golf, for that cheap of a price. Another reason why, "It's a beautiful day in The Villages" You gotta love it here
