Many people die in gun violence, but the president doesn't comment on their deaths in this manner.
Here is the speech. I say again that too much was said that implied that the issue was racially motivated. It was not the time to say it.

I think it was very racially motivated based on what I gleaned from the trial by both of them. If they were both of the same race, it would have had a different outcome. In my opinion, you are mistaken if you think race did not play into the ending by BOTH parties. I see your point that it may have been the wrong time to tell the truth, but the outcome was in fact steeped in race.
