i love the Sea Chest on Treasure Island. Mid-modern architecture from the front to the back based on the Sarasota School of mid-modern architecture. Ask for one of the large apartments on the end of the motel for the best rooms they have. Also there is one on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool that is nice.
Privately owned and clean, clean, clean. The TI beach is very wide and there is a sidewalk along the beach for easy walking. Check it out on Trip Advisor...

Also on St Pete Beach... a restaurant "The Wharf" is a personal favorite for seafood. I've also done a review on that restaurant on Trip Advisor as well as the Sea Chest.
As a little guy, a few years ago, family stayed at The Alden on St. Pete Beach. It is much larger than the Sea Chest and not the charm and architecture, but still a nice place to check out on Trip Advisor.
Hope this helps...BTW, I love the Sea Chest... would retire there if golf courses were more abundant!
