For a lot of people, this is not simply a matter of convenience. It affects me personally, because, as you know, Jenny works at Aldi and takes the cart there five days a week. She took that job with the understanding that this route to work was available. She also had several opportunities to go to work for other supermarket chains and turned them down because she likes the Aldi job better. Had she known that this route would be closed she would have made different choices. There are many people that work in several of those businesses that do not or cannot drive. For many, this may mean having to give up a job that they need.
Many others chose doctors and other health care professionals in that medical center based on the fact that they could get there in their golf cart. Those people have been shut off from their health care professionals. There is also an urgent care facility there.
Many people in this area may have made the decision to buy a house knowing that that golf cart route was there.
This is a lot bigger than your favorite restaurant being closed.
