I seldom go for "buy one get one free" because it usually seems as though they (all stores) do jack up the price of the product. Even if they once had the product at a lower price, that doesn't make it a fraud. If they first set the price higher for about 5 days, they can then offer "buy one get one free" at the higher price. This is usually how it works with all sale items.
Another reason why I usually don't go for "buy one get one" is that the products in general are usually highly marked-up items, and are highly processed unhealthy foods anyway. Who needs it?
