My neighbor has dedicated her front bedroom to a craft room. She has a large table/counter in the center. Her walls and closet are used for cabinets, She has her sewing machines on the front wall. It seems to work for her.

I use the front bedroom to paint in also. I have a table set up under the window and a small chest of drawers next to it. It works for me. We have a third room in which my husband has his office (he works from home) and we have two single beds for guest. When the family comes we push his things to the side and we open the sofa sleeper in the front room. Everyone seems happy with this arrangement.
