Having been involved in restaurant management, I offer a simple solution. You all have made plans to golf, 2,3 maybe 4 foursomes. Great, you planned. Now simply speak to restaurant management, requesting seating. A good(if not very good) manager would know that all 12 would not finish at the same time. Upon your arrival the host/hostes should ask the first group if you wish to be seated, then seat the remainder as they arrive, or wait for the entire party. Seating upon arrival would be best. It's known as a pending reservation. Any manager worth his salt would know that 12 happy golfers means repeat revenue. I hope some who read this are restaurant managers. This respect is a two way street.
