Last fall when we came down for the winter, Home Depot had the most gorgeous reddish-orange geraniums in small hanging plastic containers. I put one in a large standing container on our lanai (morning to afternoon sun) along with some side plants. It totally flourished, grew to gigantic proportions. I'm just now letting it die off to replant the planter. Over the summer it got leggy and woody.

I will definitely plant another geranium in there.

We had put impatiens in our front walkway, but they did not do well. But maybe it was just the wrong spot--too much or too little sun.
