Facts are not silly. Facts are simply facts. If I expected a surprise ending that would be silly. But I wasn't expecting a surprise. I was just trying to point out the
fact that knowing everything that's going to happen makes long protracted violence (2 hours and 10 minutes) tedious.

I think they could have managed the situation much better. The key to foiling the pirates from boarding the ship was the ladder. When a pirate climbs up a ladder he needs two hands. He can't hold a gun in one hand. Therefore the pirate is totally vulnerable to attack when he reaches the top of the ship's railing.
