Perhaps priced out of the new home sales market - but not necessarily out of the slightly used home market. The latter will permit the customization that the new spec homes do not permit!

BTW - prices in the historic neighborhoods have been on the rise, too. But that usually happens as 'the season' comes upon the villages; remains to be seen how much of a longer-term impact the new home sales market might have on those neighborhoods.
