Why do adults act like teenagers when they encounter a celebrity, especially actors? After all an actor is nothing more than a media product.

I have known celebrities.....famous actors, famous politicians, famous sports figures, religious big whigs, etc.
In EVERY category, there are the good, bad and the ugly. For me it it about RESPECT....not about how famous you are or how much money you have.
My father taught me well. He treated a doctor and a janitor the same.
One of the things that I like when I meet people in TV is that people don't ask me what I did when I worked. They ask me where I'm from.
And I'm so glad I'm not a celebrity!
