I wouldn't store any clothing, books or pictures in attic. They will just dry up and tear easy. Even with fan and insulation, the heat can reach 100-120 up there. I agree with Mulligan, if you have all that extra clothing, then you brought too much with you. Do yourself a favor, and donate it, or sell at consignment store. (Books too) Believe me, you will be looking for space in your attic, to store stuff (I mean STUFF -LOL) and within a couple of years you will have it filled. Nothing like storing stuff in your attic, and forgetting it's there!!! Luggage can be stored there too, along with Christmas decorations. I throw moth balls in attic every once in a while.
