Let me be clear. There are robberies in The Villages that aren't being reported by the news. Not just in Sanibel but in The Villages! Not just breaking into homes but weapons as well...
I don't know if The Villages is a "safe" place to live or not. But I know the fact that these robberies are not being reported in the news is giving people a sense of security that maybe they shouldn't have.
One of the residents sent out an email about an incident that happened... Something we knew about because it happened to someone in our hood. They received a notice from The Villages that maybe it isn't a good idea to send that kind of email out.... It scares the residents.
My husband has has to go to court because he was slugged trying to protect an older female resident of The Villages. He said that if you sat in court you would be VERY concerned about the robberies and aggravated sexual assaults, in The Villages some with weapons!
Happienow tried to come on here and tell you about another one. Many of you wanted to make her out to be a liar. Thanks... Thanks a lot! Because the next time it happens... Do you think she will want to come on here and post it???

FROM WHO, in what agency, what part of the official villages sent an email saying exactly WHAT? ??????? That is VERY hard to believe. There have been so many over the top emails I have seen circulating but I haven't ever heard of anyone getting any kind of response from The Villages.
Happinow was very clear in her post about the first breakin and the second and people were confused if she was talking about a recent third breakin in Sanibel. I don't know that anyone has cleared that up yet. I have heard of two, and the armed robbery at Codys, but not a third in Sanibel. Do you know of a third Angie? I asked Meta Minton a couple of days ago and she hadn't heard of another one.
Why would both The Sun that is NOT owned by the developer and Meta Minton's online news be not printing these things IF they were happening?
Just trying to quell rumors.
