Burglary on Adrienne Way
 

I now know,what happened on Adrienne Way in the village of Sanibel. There was a home burglary. The front door was kicked in either last night or today. The owners were away. No word yet on what was taken. It's starting to make me a little uneasy. What is it with Sanibel?? This is the third burglary in about 3 months.

It happens in new neighborhoods. Seems that thieves are getting braver and meaner, though. Previously, it wasn't breaking down doors but more "sneaking in" (open lanais, unlocked front doors). It will stop when the new builds are done and more people have moved in and are out and about. At least that's been the case in previous burglaries.

Redwitch...this one seems to be in a lived in area.

My guess is that this is the same lowlife scummy person. All within houses of each other with easy access to the parking lot at Bonifay???. THREE and all with the front doors kicked in.


They are gonna catch this guy and I am gonna cheer.

There is a heroin addict living right near that home. She frequents the
Sanibel pool to shoot up in the bathroom. She also hooks up many of her
purchases in the parking area there or on her street. ( we have told her not
to use the bathroom anymore as she ties it up for 30 minutes at a time )
I think this may be why the breakins are localized.............

Appears the lowlife scum have found that The Villages is quite vulnerable not policed well and easily accessed. There is a drug addict using a public bathroom and no one bothered to tell the local police.?

You have to be kidding - the police haven't been notified of this activity?

Would SHE be able to kick in doors? I can't see how a woman could do that.


As I reread your old posts I see that you are the person who plays the music loud at the Sanibel Pool.

Are these activities what the pool group has surmised? Why hasn't someone reported her to law enforcement?

How do you know that she is using the bathroom for this activity and how can a villager tell another villager to not use a public restroom? Did you find drug stuff there? Maybe she is drinking? If you saw drug activity in the parking lot, why didn't you report it?


Pardon me for the questioning, but I watch a lot of TV shows. And Judge Judy too.

Shooting up at the pool, dealing in the parking lot; Why didn't you call the sheriff?

I would be embarrassed to post such information.............that I had not called the sheriff.

I know where she lives. Seen her many times wandering around....seems she's waiting for someone.

I think on the street that is called "a buy".

The Sanibel area is all built out and has been for quite some time. There may be a lot here and there that is not built on as yet, but scarce. I do believe all the lots bordering the golf course is full. I am wondering if the thieves are targeting homes that the owners are full time, or nearly so. Seasonal residents don't leave valuables behind, jewelry, etc when they go back North or West. So, TV's and disc players and such may not be the pick of the thieves since they are large to move out, and probably do not have enough resell value to be worth the risk.

I know you live in Sanibel. I know this is very worrisome to you and other nice folks who live there. Sanibel is just a lovely area and people take such good care of things there.


Does it look like the same person to you? How can they KNOW when people leave their homes in broad daylight???

Once again, Bogie speaks what is on others minds. If a person knows a drug user is buying drugs in The Villages in a pool parking lot AND shooting up in the restroom - why hasn't the poster called the sheriff?

The answer is most likely because it is not really happening!

From what I have heard, there is a large number of Villagers who "pack heat" whenever they leave the house. Why haven't they intervened if this is really happening? Once again, because it is not happening!

...and I really doubt that a female drug addict could kick in a front door and carry off loot unnoticed to anyone.
