I used Furnitureland South to order our bedroom furniture here. I worked with a fellow named Jay Pridgen. I did have to pay sales tax. I am including part of an email from them explaining about the sales tax. At the time I ordered, if your total was $4000 or more the delivery and setup was free. The guys that delivered and setup our furniture said they have 4 trucks coming to FL each and every week. We were very, very satisfied and will order from them again when the time comes. Here is part of the e-mail:

We required a 50% deposit payable by Visa, Mastercard, Discover & Amex. The remainder can be paid by Credit Card or Personal check @ time of delivery.

Yes, in 2007 all states that have a State Sales Tax required Furniture companies in North Carolina to collect & remit the sales tax of the state/county where the furniture is being delivered.
