Being from NY originally, i have always followed the principle of never leting it be too easy to steal anything, like leaving shopping packes in vie as opposed to one's truck. I they want it bad enough, they will have to work for it. However, it doesn't hurt to be informed of what bad peple are doing, as it should make us aware, but not afraid.
"Always be vigilant", is a security term worth remembering.
