You act as if 8 hrs..44 min..42 sec is a walk in the park.
Their first album 'Please Please Me' was 14 songs with 11 originals. Their second album 'Meet the Beatles' was 12 songs and all but one was original. The cover songs were mostly filler because unlike in America, in the UK they didn't like to release albums with only 10 songs. Also, if you notice most of those songs were in the 2 minute or less range, they could of easily strung them out to 3 minutes or more. Instead they gave us many more great songs with far less fill.
