I was raised in the Finger Lake area, very near Hammondsport. My sister lives at the north end of the lake (Keuka Lake), in Branchport - which is where The Esperanza Mansion is located. (My sister works there. Until this year she managed the Esperanza Rose, a dinner/tour boat on the lake. Unfortunately the boat needed some expensive repairs and will no longer cruise the lake.)
Drive around the lake and tour some of the wineries. East lake road is a little off the lake and a faster route, West lake road is down near the lake, slow an curvy, very busy during the summer months.
Last year we came back through Phili and down the coast. Took some time but was enjoyable.

Taught physics and chemistry to teenagers for 37 years!! Started out in Rhinebeck,NY and ended up in Havre de Grace, MD-moved to Buttonwood full time and then moved to Labelle, but still go north to do some goose/deer hunting !!!!
