Ten-part series on CNN. The first episode was "Television Comes of Age," and it made me smile throughout. Nothing groundbreaking, but it evoked some great memories (shared by many/most of us here, I imagine). All of my teen years were in the sixties, and that decade formed me in so many ways.
Tom Hanks is one of the producers and spoke about everyone gathering to watch The Wonderful World of Color and how amazing and psychedelic all the
color seemed to us. My great aunt and uncle were the only ones in my family who had a color TV, so we all drove over there on special occasions. Of course, watching involved a lot of fiddling with the color knobs, which was the job of the kids.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
