Anyone taking pleasure in this incident is doing the people involved a disservice as well as this community because clearly 99.99 of the residents of this community are good human beings.

Sometimes it seems that the only way we know who we are is by listening to those who carefully craft our image. We are told that we are The Friendliest Hometown, The Healthiest Hometown, the most charitable hometown, and the wealthiest hometown etc. And all of that has to be defended, that's the true agenda: Defending an image.
I say, "we are who we are and no one has to prove anything." We are a cross section of America, period.
