mach1 - Your posts make it sound like The Villages and Florida should not be in your retirement consideration. Why not try something in Arizona - great climate and retiree tax advantages.

Of course over 100,000 folks don't seem to be overly concerned about sinkholes in The Villages, so that could say something about moving there after all.
