tell that to Doug Ford in the Open Championship where he missed an 18incher. As for the 2foot circle...nope...3 foot circle and that's only if the "amateur" took serious lessons and here at the villages that's highly unlikely. Most of the good folks I play with don't even look for a 10foot circle....they just whack it.

The tradition of the game is in following the rules and etiquette and on the exec. courses even that isn't used most of the time. That is not a negative as they are supposed to be fun...if only they'd not stop and jibber jabber, but keep moving.
