True. Tickets should be a way of punishing people for breaking the law NOT a way of raising revenues.
Also placing speed limit signs with declining speed limits very close together for the sole purpose of "catching" people speeding is illegal. Speed limits and speed limit signs are in place to protect the public safety. Again, they are not meant to be revenue sources. People who are caught in these types of speed traps are not endangering the lives or safety of the public which is why they are illegal.
In this case, the town has been found to have been violating the law. Which laws would you like enforced?
