Get a separate golf cart policy that has liability coverage, medical payments, etc. People on carts in crashes often get thrown out onto pavement or curbs, sometimes with fatal or maiming injuries. Get seat belts, too!! Most cart crash injuries here in the streets are ejections.
Villages Insurance sells policy thru Foremost. Premium is about $150 per year and WORTH it.

Absolutely get insurance and make SURE you have the right insurance. Hubby was in a serious cart accident in March, resulting in 5 surgeries (thank goodness he was wearing a seatbelt). He was hit by Florida resident driver who was in an automobile and at fault and ticketed. Because we are Michigan residents living in Florida part time...our MI no fault policy will kick in first (actually our health insurance kicks in first). Having said that, this is the BIGGEST mess you have ever seen, with all insurances trying to get out of paying!!! I would not want to wish this fiasco on anyone!
