It comes from moisture coming up through the concrete slab. it also has created mold on the bottom of the hardwood tongue and grooved sections. I would appreciate any comments on this problem . Thanks.

Same thing happened in my house. I had a leak coming from the garage that I didn't realize was traveling under the walls of a couple of rooms and was turning my wood floor black. The plumber found it and then I had a contractor come out to check out the extent of the damage and extent of the amount of mold. Turned out to be very serious, I had to move out for 2 months while mold remediation was being done and the entire living room and dining room floor were replaced along with 3 walls which also had mold.
I am allergic to mold and I developed pneumonia from being in contact with it and was very sick for a few months. My advice, get this checked out ASAP. I had a great crew of contractors for the remediation and construction.
BTW, insurance covered almost 100% of it but the whole experience was a stressful time. Good luck!!
