Effective earlier this month (12/11/14, I think), Owens Corning notified local roofers that they would no longer accept samples pulled by them for inspection and that effective immediately, 100% of inspection in The Villages area must be done by Owens Corning personnel. If you are looking at a claim for OC shingles, you may be throwing good money after bad by paying someone to do the inspection as OC will not use it.
