Either way, I'm glad it happened but I am concerned about potential repercussions. North Korea shuts down its power all the time. Imagine if power were shut down to just one major U.S. city for the day -- an inconvenience for most people, a disaster for small businesses, a catastrophe for big business and the stock market. Sadly, they really can hurt us far more than we can hurt them in the cyber world.
It could have been any hackers who wanted to see The Interview or were just upset with the tactics of North Korea. I would not put it past the CIA though if they gave some of these foreign hackers incentives.

I do agree that since they have little thought to the consequences of their actions due to probable unquestioning state support as well as complete control of their media by the powers in that country, that North Korean hackers can do a lot of damage to us.
