Being one of the very few people in TV, I don't own any cart. Yet, as a biking enthusiast who rides the MMPs a lot, I appreciate the Club Cars because I can always hear them approaching. Other than that, their are raucously loud; how do their owners not go deaf?

I would be interested in what each of you like in the Yamaha and Club carts.

Club Car is far superior than Yamaha? Baahaahaa thanks for the belly laugh! Yamaha is the #1 selling cart in America. Commercial or private use. It doesn’t take a PHD to figure out why.

Comments are similar back in the day Ford vs Chevy depends on your preference , I like Club Car ,alumimum frame oil pump in the motor oil filter also.

Our club back home does the 5 year lease on their carts. They usually pick the club cart because of price. Not the same use as we put our carts through here in TVs.

Do yourself a favor and shop outside TV and save yourself thousands of dollars! You have been warned!!

Most golf courses do use electric carts as they can lease them cheap. It is all about economics. Also, these courses do not require an ultra-long range golf cart, where are you going besides 18 holes? Once the round is done the cart goes to the cart barn and gets plugged in.

EZGO we like better
 

We have an EZGO and a Yamaha, we both like the EZGO better. Quieter, drives and rides better, much smoother running.

There's hardly a residential community built in the USA in the last 20 years, that allows "gasoline powered golf carts" ... and that's really all Yamaha has had until a couple of years ago.

81% of the world's golf cart market is battery powered ... that leaves Yamaha in the dust.

Sorry, you do not know what you are talking about. Yamaha has built electric carts for over 25 years. The old G-22 for example and there are today many of these running around TV especially in the pre-historic area that were purchased back in the 1990's.

My wife has a 1984 Royal Ride that has a Club Car chassis. One would have to “pry it from her cold, dead hands” to take it from her. I have a 2016 gas Yamaha and it rides like a truck. I much prefer the Club Car ride.

If I ever need a truck I’ll buy a Club Car.

General Preference
 

If its gas, its a Yamaha........much quieter than other gas and they juice it up so you can go 30 mph, not legal as 20 mph is the norm, but not in the villages

If its electric its Club Car.........better built chassis and suspension, BUT, 20 mph, prefer the quiet and quality

years ago Harley made great golf cars, problem was you couldn't kill them, they went out of business

Golf carts you push or pull, golf cars you drive.........terminology...carts is slang

When golf courses buy golf cars, the costs range from low of EZ-GO, mid of Yamaha, high of Club Car. Trade in value figures in as most courses trade every 5 while value is up. Club Car is also seen as a mark of a higher class of the club. Yamaha has made in roads, BUT,
most clubs buy electric and prefer club car. A golf car for 18 holes is only on for less than 30 minutes so it can go 36 holes.

That being said, get an extended range battery for the villages........or get gas to go fast, the noise will get you sooner or later, but you will ignore because you can go faster..vroom..............

You should drive both of them and you'll see why Yamaha is more expensive. It's built so much better than a Club Car. The Yamahas are nice and quiet, and they drive so much better.

The only people that say Club Cars are better are the ones that were not smart enough to buy a Yamaha! Drive them both like I said, and form your own opinion.
