It slices, it dices, and it juliennes so I'm surprised they didn't mention vanity mirrors or cup holders.

It does look nice as a YouTube animation so it will be interesting to actually see one.

As many other threads have discussed, we have height and range concerns here in the Villages and I didn't see any specs related to those.

I tell you what, I have a D5 with a 160 AH battery and I bet you would never get it below 50%. You can do over 3 hours easy on that batter flat out running. We went from Hillsborough to Boosters by Middleton for Dinner, over to Sawgrass, back to Brownwood, then home. Has 62% charge when we pulled back in the garage. Anyone with Range anxiety with these newer lithium carts is not informed. I have a Yamaha and a D5 and I prefer the D5, but unfortunately my wife gets first dibs since it is technically her cart.

The D5 is known to get that kind of mileage. I've done the same with my EZ-Go though I didn't have that much battery remaining.

The D-MAX advertises a few more battery-draining options. I'd be interested in seeing realistic range numbers for that.

I have a Club Car Precedent and did a Trojan 105 lithium battery conversion. I can go 50 miles on a charge running up to 27 mph.

I wouldn't want to sit in the cart for any longer than that.

I have the 205ah. I would NOT have bought a D5 if all they had was a 160ah battery. I'm as far north as you get in The Villages - in Phillips Villas, north east of Lopez. With the 205ah I can comfortably get to the sourthern courses, play 18, and have 20%-30% battery left when I get home.

With a 160ah, playing Bonifay, Belle Glade, or Evans Prairie would take the battery below 10% - at which point the cart drops to less than 10mph (limp mode). I would not be able to take my cart to Southern Oaks or Shallow Creek and play 18.

The 160ah will get you range in the mid 50's. The 205ah takes you to low 70's. Much more comfortable with that.

In summary, if you live in the middle of The Villages then the 160ah will get you anywhere you need to go. If you live in either extreme end you need the 205ah.

The trip to the southern courses looks like it would take you close to two hours by cart. Do you actually do that?

I don't have that range but I live in the middle where I don't (yet) need it. At the same time, I'm not sure I would choose the cart for a 20+ mile, 2 hour trip each way.
