The 2011 RXVs still have four 14-volt batteries:

Power:
Power Source 48-volt DC
Motor Type 48-volt AC
Horsepower (kW) 4.4 hp (3.3 kW) continuous
Electric System 48-volt
Batteries (qty/type) Four, 12-volt deep cycle

The Club Cars have switched back to six, 8-volt batteries:
Precedent i2 Excel
•AlumiCore™ Chassis, a rustproof, non-corrosive frame which enhances the stability, ride and performance of the car
•Choice of original IQ or upgraded Excel™ electric system
•Powerful and quiet 350cc 11.5 hp Kawasaki engine
•(6) 8-volt battery, 48-volt powerplant is the most robust in the industry

In our fleet of 60 2008 RXVs, we have replaced 118 batteries now, and are still having some not able to make 18. None of those have all new batteries, but some had just one or two replaced.

Is there a problem with the batteries? What ones do they use, which batteries are the best. I heard someone say club car just changed battery makers because of quality.

What battery issues are you having?

In our fleet of 60, after EZ GO replaced batteries that tested bad, and mismatched new and old ones doing so, we are still having problems getting 18 holes out of about 1/2 dozen carts. Some are so dependably undependable that I have placed them Out of Service.

It makes it tough about mid-day on a busy day, and we rent used gas Club Cars when we know we can't get by with just ours.

We also have one with an auto-brake solenoid failure, something we thought was eliminated when all of the solenoids were replaced in '09.

Just trying to get to the end of the lease.

I have a 2011 and have the 6 - 8 volt battery set up. I have had no issues and have over 900 miles on my cart. I have gone as much as 50 miles in a day.

Just thought I would mention as it seems there was a period of time where there was a problem with some of these carts but as far as I can see those problems are in the past.

EZ GO Carts

You cannot beat Town and Country for backing their carts/products. We have
a 2008 we bought new and we have had some problems and can't say enough
good things about Town and Country. I can't think of ever buying from another dealer as these guys really back their Carts.:bigbow:

I feel the same way about AGC in Palm Ridge Plaza.

E-Z-Go also just came out with Exceed Hybrid technology.

I just had my batteries replaced at Town & Country.I second the reccomendation for these guys. They've treated me good! I bought my cart from them in september of 09.It's a 2010 but before anyone thinks that replacing batteries after 2 years doesn't sound right let me tell you I had 10,746 miles on the batteries. That was in 16 months of useage. You see we went north for the last 2 summers.Town & country replaced my old trojan T1260 with Trojan T1275 Plus batteries. They've only been in for about 3 weeks & seem to be good.I know I went well over 50 miles today with no problem.I'll keep you all updated with their performance.

Try googling RXV Auto-Brake Problem III.

Is it an RXV?

6-8's will always be better than 4-12s

3 months with my new batteries & everything is great!Haven't had any range problems & I use my cart for everything.I just always plug it in when not in use! I also check the water once a month.Love my EZ Go electric ...wouldn't even consider owning any other!

He is now in business in the Villages. I used him and found him very knowledgeable and professional.

Glad to hear this. I am considering the EZ-Go or a Tomberlin.
