if i am there with my dog sitting outside, you have the choice of eating outside or in the dining room inside. I on the other hand don't, I [and my dog can only eat on the outdoor deck. Lets all try to get along and give alittle.its soooo much easier to be NICE. My dog has been to many eateries and has never pooped or peed at any. She is more well behaved than many peoplr I've seen in eateries.:spoken:

Sorry but I just don't see why, as a human, I should have to sacrifice my outdoor dining experience for a pet? I pay for my meal. Does the dog pay for his? One of the reasons I am moving to TV is so I don't have to deal with children crying and being unruly in restaurants and now I have to deal with pets? You have every right to have your pets in your house, yard,take them for a walk drive them in your golf carts and cars, so why is it a big deal to leave them home for an hour while you eat? Seems a small request so others can enjoy their dinner. what is the world coming to??

Good news .... As a human, you don't have to sacrifice your outdoor dining experience for a pet!! There are many, many restaurants that don't allow pets, and just a few restaurants that do allow pets on the patio. May I suggest that you could call ahead and ask the restaurant about their pet policy.

There are actually diners that enjoy having these obnoxious creatures on the deck. When we take our dogs anywhere we are constantly approached by Villagers wanting to pat them and talk about their pets.

I can't suggest a solution for your problem with unruly children. They're allowed in all the restaurants and quite active at Town Squares, especially during vacation periods!

Ummmm...seems I'm out numbered on this one. I will prepare myself for those four legged friends and screaming children when I go out. Luckily, there won't be nearly as many children in TV as there are where I live now. And, people seem to be able to control their pets better than their children! I always have the option to cook at home, right? :)

You always have the option in eat inside. Dogs are not allowed inside any restaurant in TV - altho children are allowed.

You may want to consider not traveling in Europe if you have that much trouble eating with dogs. They are allowed "in" the restaurants in many countries and usually are served first! I LOVE that about Europe!

I'm with you on this one. We were sitting outside one afternoon at McCall's Tavern eating and a lady with a dog on a leash walked by and the dog cocked his leg and peed on a post supporting the outside railing. She had to actually stop to allow the dog to pee. I was so shocked I couldn't say anything. Disgusting. It takes all kinds. I'm sure none of the responsible pet owners in TV who eat with their dogs outside in TV would ever allow this sort of thing to happen though. She must have been an outsider.

When the Florida legislature was the first in the country to pass the Dog Friendly Dining Regulation back in 2006, they gave restaurants the right to opt out. My advice to you is vote with your feet or move to another state.

True !! But only in country's that eat dog.......I wish someone would list the places that allow dogs so that I'll know where NOT to go..............

So true! We were in Paris (and you know how they love their dogs in Paris), eating at a lovely restaurant, and an American couple entered. In a very loud voice the woman demanded a non-smoking table. The maitre d politely answered "Of course, Madame," and whisked the ashtray off the table. :laugh:
