I had an interesting experience a couple of days ago. I tried to use the word anecdo-tal (without the dash.)

The word came out anec***al.

Like most message boards, this one apparently has a filter to censor unacceptable words, usually the common "four letter words." :cus:

I have yet to figure out what unacceptable word includes the three letters d, o and t in succession.

In the meantime I probably won't be using anec***al much.

I have recently noticed that and could not figure out why signing on the ***ted line would be offensive.

So, being a ***ing grandmother is not nice? Or talking about an anti***e for snake bite? Or signing on the ***ted line?

The system won't take a "***" in a word. Hmmmm..... that's interesting.

The same goes for a certain sequence of numbers, as the admin informed me.

The system just doen't like some things. OH WELL!!!

A small price to pay for this wondeful site.

"***" may be filtered to prevent people from spelling out (in words) an email or internet address

I think they have a policy about posting certain internet site links, so sometimes people will add a space between every other letter or spell it out, such as google d o t com

p.s. When I saw the title of the thread, "About ***", I have to admit I didn't think it was about d o t

OOOPS, She doesn't. sorry ***ti. D o t t i.Guess you just have to start calling your friend "Periodti" instead of D o t t i. That's pronounced Perri-ottie! Or... just simply call her... your friend, End Of Sentence!"

I know, I know... go ahead and say it... :1rotfl:

SHHHHHHHHHH.

I am a big fan of Meta Minton and I think she is doing an excellent job filling in the information gaps from the Daily Sun and providing a lot of fresh and interesting information and up to the minute news because it is an internet site.

I know from a good source that Meta's making a success of her venture. You know her, Gracie. Why don't you ask her why she doesn't just take out an ad on TOTV. Does she realize how much TOTV members have put her newspaper out there?

And no, I don't work for the Admin. He didn't buy my house either, more's the pitty...:cryin2:

How come? I must be missing something. I just assumed they wouldn't print the url due to the fact that they weren't advertisers.
