Can anyone recommend a brand of frozen meatballs, cocktail size, that is good enough to use? I bought a bag, don't remember what brand, but they were not very good. Anyone know of a good brand?

frozen meatballs = high sodium mystery meat...much healthier/safer to make your own!

Because I've never had a frozen meatball that I've liked I have another suggestion. TGIFriday's wings from publix. The honey barbeque are really good. All that is required is baking in the oven, they already have the sauce and just need heating. Also if you are a Sam's club member the Tyson honey barbeque wings are as good. They come in a bigger bag. Both are frozen. Really great to take to a party and so easy.

The Italian style meatballs at Sam's Club are very good. We buy them all the time and they taste real good!

It's the "mystery meat" part that bothers me about frozen ground meat anything... the Pink Slime issue.

Mom & I like Wal-mart brand Homestyle frozen meatballs. They are delicious. We haven't tried the Italian ones as we can't have anything too spicy.

Most are rubbery and nothing at all like a real meatball.

If you have an hour to spare sometime.....you could make up a batch of your own meatball mixture........fry them up, or even "oven bake" them in a bit of olive oil ; then freeze them on cookie sheets before transferring to ziplock freezer bags.

They will be ready whenever you need them.

I have tried frozen ones in a pinch and they are NOT good, nor authentic. The meat always has a funny flavor........one just doesn't know what they use as fillers or what type of meat they even use. With Mad Cow disease, if you don't know the source of the meat, stear / steer clear.

Good luck. You can do it.
